Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez

Saul "Canelo" Alvarez is widely regarded as the best pound-for-pound boxer of his generation and one of the finest Mexican fighters in the history of the sport. Born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, he turned professional at just 15 years old and climbed through the divisions with a combination of elite counter-punching, devastating body work, and an iron chin that has absorbed the best shots from the best fighters in multiple weight classes.

Canelo became the undisputed super middleweight champion in November 2021 by defeating Caleb Plant, unifying all four major belts — WBA, WBC, IBF, and WBO — at 168 pounds.
